For topical battle...
Dublin, Ireland
1824
And so it commenced...
As the wolves' full moon donated an unprecedented glow
Ripples shivered across ponds from the implemented cold
One throat panted fog into the swarms of mist that roamed
And two eyes stared blankly into the ditch, shy of bones
The male delinquent rested a palm onto a spades handle
And tendered to his aching back under his grey mantle
With temperatures below zero, there was fear of frostbite
A graverobber ignorant of what a decomposed body's like
He resumed the uninvited diggin of an innocent corpse
Casting aside shovels of dirt, since he lived with discord
Expressing nothin but scorn, he made contact with a coffin
Descended into the depths and grabbed a pickaxe for the robbin
By the side of him, a Kerosene lantern faintly burnt
Just enough source to visualize the nails in the dirt
And wretched open the lid to release a scent of disease
The stench had him chokin and heavin, clenchin his sleeve
After a moments pause, he began rummaging the remains
Seeking for items of value that could be exchanged
Swiped what he could cradle and placed them onto the Earth
Pulled himself out of the grave and then calmed his nerves
Gazed around the woodlands... Gasped and yelled in anguish
Due to the sudden jerk, he backstepped and fell into the pit
Frantically puffed his lungs, saw to his side what was next
A maggot infested body glarin back at him in detest
He rose from the ground, so it was duty to wither and die
Clawed his nails whilst bein looked upon a sinister smile
Stared death in the eyes, maybe even literally that night
In horror, was paralyzed, a newly captured prisoner confined
Facing the moon, he wish it had given him some guidance
But his capillaries constricted, body resisted defiance
.....
Time passed by and what remained were frozen bones decayed
Like his blood vessels, he met his fate in a Narrow Grave
