Which was tough as shit, cuz every motherfuckin thing's closed around here.
Was only able to find convenience stores here and there...
But I copped a buncha charcoal, canned foods...tons of bottled water, ice.
Got my candles, batteries...all that.
Taped and boarded up all my windows...cleared all potential projectiles outta the yard.
Couldn't get any gasoline though...not that I need it...I'm staying home...
But stations ALL OVER Houston are tapped dry.
That's why the roads are fucked from peeps trying to evacuate...AND running outta gas. The ones that made it to Dallas and San Antonio and shit...literally spent anywhere from 18-26 hours on the road...JUSTTO GET TO DALLAS OR SAN ANTONIO!!! The army and national guard have been sending tankers to try and fill em up so they don't sit the hurricane out on the side of the road, trapped in their cars.
It's been fucked, people. Mad Max and shit...
Anyway...I live pretty far west and Rita has shifted east towards Port Arthur/Beaumont/Louisiana...so that's good for me and mine.
But we're still expecting high ass winds and flooding...the power may still go out...so if you don't see me on here for a couple of days...well, that's fuckin why!
And as far as 1-2...well...if I maintain power, I'll get it going...
If I lose power, I guess it has to wait, cats.
I'm only on to give a briefing and drop my LLL verse before the deadline.
Gotta stay battle ready...even in bad weather!
But seriously...thanks for the thoughts, cats and thanks for the thread, Aines!
I hope to keep power through this ride-out...but if not, I'll catch ya'll in a few!
Peace from the soon to be water logged Houston!
damn God Speed...
