Fox News - White House Puppets

Ex-White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan exposed Fox News as a propaganda tool for the White House on Chris Mathews Hardball.
Fox in the White House: It is one of those things you kind of assume to be true all along... and yet are shocked when hard confirmation actually comes. Our fourth story tonight, from the former White House press secretary himself, word that the Bush White House routinely sent--and as far as we know, still sends-- literal talking points to Fox News for its primetime propagandists, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and others... to spout, as if ventriloquist dummies, as if they had thought of it themselves, as if they had come to those opinions independently, as if there had been a process either fair... or balanced.
(from jumpoff.tv but i don't know the actual source of that extract.)
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
I dont believe this garbage, most of the reporters you mentioned were all once small time jouranlists with the same opinions they have today.
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
I believe it...on the basis that most commentators on Fox News are so narrow minded and conservative...the Bush white house told them personally their point of view and talking points on certain subjects because the Fox News cast would easily understand and reiterate that message to the public...
I don't think they intentionally done it...I think they were used because of their political beliefs

Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
fox news is blatantly right winged, as cnn is blatantly left wing... big deal
you watch both, then combine the news... then come up with 3 or 4 different "combinations" of one story.... spin a bottle, and which ever story it picks... thats prolly truer than what either network reported.
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
O'Reilly fucking MURDERED ol boy who made these claims on his show last night. O'Reilly had this guy like crying an wimpering an not even wanting to respond to his questions. Obviously the white house never gave him a talking point, an MSNBC is behind this. In fact, ol boy who published the book has a contract with CNN to sell his book on their show. An we know FNC an CNN beef all day every day twice on sundays. So obviously its all bullshit, for O'Reilly anyway. he even said an I quote "I DONT CARE ABOUT WHO ELSE GOT TALKING POINTS, I WANT YOU TO PUBLICALLY SAY I BILL OREILLY NEVER RECEIVED A TALKING POINT, STOP TRYING TO BESMURG MY CAREER WITH YOUR LIES TO SELL YOUR BOOK." an ol boy admitted O'Reilly nevergot any talking points.. smh
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
Eh, you pretty much knew it was bullshit from the beginning
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
O'Reilly is a fucking joke.
Why would anyone even go on his show? Its not that he is great at debating, its the fact he will talk over you and that he is in charge of what gets cut and pasted in the final edit before airing.
I would gladly challenge O'Reilly on a ton of his bullshit views in a true open forum, but you will NEVER see him do that with anyone. O'Reilly will only voice his horrible opinions when he has all the control. The guy is a talking head... a fucking tool.
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
word. i hate fucking O'Reilly. One of these days he's going to have a horrible death & i'll laugh.
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
I just think people need to start challenging him to an open forum. If enough people make public challenges like that he'll be forced to accept or to take a huge hit in credibility. (not that he has much anyhow)
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
i think Rican is related to him.
Re: Fox News - White House Puppets
I like O'Reilly cause hes an honest man an doesnt speak on shit he doesnt know. I watch his show a good amount an i've seen him get shitted on plenty in debates, an he knows he got shitted on, an will sitll be cool. he talks over people who avoid questions, its his show, so of course hes going to be in charge, wtf? People hate him cause hes blunt an isnt going to hold your hand.
